Owatonna's Crazy Days celebration begins Thursday with savings throughout the city into the weekend. A check of the Owatonna Business Partnership website shows a lot of extra work has gone into this year's planning, with many new things to experience.

Here's a look at a few of the attractions being offered this year. A dunk tank will be set up in Central Park starting Thursday. The Army is bringing in an Activity Trailer from 10AM to 4PM each day in the 200 block of Cedar. The car show takes place on Cedar starting at 5PM, with a food drive and a melon feed starting at 5PM.

The Kiddie Parade will begin at 10:30AM Friday, ending in Central Park where a Crazy Hair contest will take place.

Saturday at 3PM in Central Park it'll be Owatonna Sings with the winner and runner-up advancing to state competition in September.

A shuttle bus will be running between downtown, the Owatonna Arts Center and the Steele County Historical Society from 9AM to 5PM Saturday. The Art Center will be hosting the Art on the Hills art festival on Saturday from 9AM to 5PM and Sunday 10AM to 4PM. There will also be a pancake breakfast on Sunday from 8AM to noon at the Owatonna Eagles.

If you're not too tired, come on out to the Steele County History Center on Sunday from 1-4PM for the jazz jam session. A number of professional and amateur musicians will be taking part. You're invited to jump in and play as well at this free attraction.

End July with a bang as we get set for next month's Steele County Free Fair.
