Owatonna Crazy Days Adds Some New Attractions
Crazy Days in Owatonna begins at 7AM Thursday with savings citywide. Once again the Kiddie Parade will be at 9:30AM, with lineup in the empty lot on Rose Street across from UPB. Kids games will be played in Central Park after the parade. At 5PM the Antique and Classic Car show begins with the United Way Campaign Kick-Off at 6PM in Central Park. The 11 at 7 concert series features the Owatonna Community Band at 7PM.
In Central Park on Friday, events include the Splash into 4H from 11AM to 2PM along with a Petting Zoo sponsored by the Medford FFA. From 1:30-4PM the RadZoo will be in the park followed by music from DeKam and Johnson in the bandshell starting at 6PM.
The Farmer's Market will have expanded hours on Saturday of 7AM to 3PM. There will be a variety of entertainment from 9AM to 3PM in the Bandshell in Central Park. At 2PM it'll be the first cupcake eating contest featuring local celebrities such as Sheriff Thiele, Police Chief Hill and the mayors of Owatonna, Medford and Ellendale along with other local celebrities.
There will be downtown Art on the Greens from 7AM to 3PM with a number of art vendors and crafters on the lawn where the old State Theater used to stand. Youth 1st and the Owatonna Art Center are sponsoring a Color Dash starting at 11AM in the 100 block of West Vine Street. You may still register for the race on Saturday.
Remember, Crazy Days sales will be 7AM to 8PM on Thursday, 9AM to 5:30PM on Friday and 9AM to 5PM on Saturday.
