Conference Play Resumes for Owatonna Basketball and Hockey

Big Nine play resumes for several Owatonna sports teams Tuesday. Boys and girls basketball match up with Rochester JM. Girls hockey hosts Austin.

The Owatonna boys basketball team goes to John Marshall to face the defending conference co-champs and a preseason pick to win the title this winter. OHS (3-2) is coming off a 79-67 win over St. Michael-Albertville on Thursday. The Rockets (4-3) have been blown out in each of their losses to Twin Cities schools, including top-rated Champlin Park and Hopkins. Game time Thursday is 7:30PM with the game on KRFO AM 1390.

The OHS girls haven't played since December 22 and are 5-2. JM is 3-6. The game at OHS can be heard on Kat Kountry 105FM.

OHS girls hockey entertains Austin on Tuesday at 7PM at Four Seasons. The Huskies (7-5) have dropped four in a row. The Packers (1-11) have lost 11 straight since winning their season opener.
