On the heels of the release of his second album, singer-songwriter Colton Kayser is premiering the music video for his song “Love of My Life” exclusively for readers of The Boot.

Kayser's "Love of My Life" video lends a fun, upbeat aesthetic to the love song, featuring the artist attempting to woo back an ex with everything from baseball tickets to a brand-new furry friend. Readers can press play above to watch.

""Love of My Life" is a song about reconciliation, so I wanted to find a fun / wacky way to portray that concept,” Kayser says. “I don't remember how I came up with the shopping cart idea, but I can tell you, it's tough to get one legally for cheap. We had a production meeting, which essentially turned into who can come up with the wackiest thing we can get away with.”

According to Kayser, a number of even crazier scenes were cut from the video, including a scene featuring him in a “giant hot dog costume."

“I feel like if you can't have a good laugh over something," he adds, "it's probably not worth doing.”

“Love of My Life” appears on Kayser’s sophomore effort, Place to Settle. Released on July 30, the record is available for purchase on his official website.
