    Marlon Brando

This is probably the most commonly known story as far as a celebrity with Minnesota ties. After getting kicked out of school, Brando's father enrolled him in Shattuck-St.Marys School in Faribault. It's said that the drama instructor got Brando interested in acting and he even won a role in a school play. Alas, he got kicked out of Shattuck-St. Marys as well.

    Brett Young

With 3 top 5 hits the last year, you hear Brett's name quite a bit on Kat Kountry 105. If he had signed with the Minnesota Twins after they drafted him, you might have been hearing his name on AM1390 during Twins games instead. Brett chose to play college baseball where he was injured and wound up getting into music when he no longer could pitch.

    Hugh Beaumont

It's Beaver's dad. After acting, Beaumont retired to Grand Rapids, Minnesota and operated a Christmas tree farm. After his death his ashes were scattered outside of Grand Rapids. He might in a way still be a part of Minnesota.
