Carrie Underwood is well known for her mostly vegan diet, as well as her love of animals in general (she even has her own charity devoted to their welfare, Oklahoma's Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation, aka C.A.T.S.). On Tuesday (Oct. 31), she decided to have a little fun with her passion, teaming up with husband Mike Fisher for a goofy his-and-hers Halloween costume.

Underwood donned a furry deer suit, while Fisher -- dressed in hunter's camo and cap -- "caught" her with a net for her Instagram audience.

"The only deer I am OK with @mfisher1212 'catching!'” Underwood posted, adding the funny hashtag "#veganwifeproblems."

Fisher, who recently retired from his professional hockey career, is now business partners with his younger brother Bud on their irreverent "Catchin' Deers" hunting-oriented lifestyle brand -- an endeavor that his wife clearly is (humorously) ambivalent about.

Underwood has caught flak (playful or otherwise) for her vegan leanings over the years, most recently from her CMA Awards co-host and good friend Brad Paisley, who jokingly called her a "weirdo vegan" last week when ordering her lunch for a meeting at his home.

Paisley and Underwood will be teaming up to co-host the CMA Awards for the 10th year in a row Nov. 8 on ABC.
