Cardboard Boat Races Coming to Owatonna

The Owatonna Park and Rec announce another Cardboard Boat Race this summer. This year's event will be Sunday, August 28, at Lake Kohlmier. Here's what you do: In teams of one or two, create a boat and paddles using only duct tape and cardboard. You'll then race against others for prizes.

A minimum of four teams is needed, with a maximum of 15 teams. You need to register at Park and Rec by Friday, August 19. Park and Rec has a rule packet for you in their offices. The entrance fee is $10.

Boats will be inspected before the race. The public is invited to stop out on the 28th to watch the fun.
