There are a couple of events slated for Medford on Saturday, Aug. 8. A car and motorcycle show will take place Saturday from noon until 4PM at the Medford Funeral Home Parking Lot. Registration begins at 11AM. The entry fee is $15, with plaques and trophy awards to the top 20 cars and the top three motorcycles. All cars and cycles are welcome. Money raised will go toward the veterans memorial being built in Medford. The memorial is being built at the corner of Third Street Northeast and County Road 12. The concrete has been laid and the first set of stones is expected to be added sometime in August. Stones with veterans' names may be purchased at the City Hall.

Saturday night it's the Medford Fire/Rescue Street Dance. It'll be held in the Fire Hall with doors opening at 6PM and music starting at 8PM. The band is GEL out of the Twin Cities area. Advance tickets are $10 and on sale at Anhorn's and the Medford Muni. Benny Boy's catering will be selling food at both the car show during the day and the dance Saturday night.
