Get ready for some fun on the lake this weekend! No, this recent heat wave hasn't messed with my mind, I'm talking about the 29th annual Cannon Lake Shootout Radar Run hosted by the Faribo Sno-Go Club this Saturday, January 21. Throw your sled on the trailer and bring it out to Cannon Lake and race against time on a 1,000-foot shaved ice track. Several different classes of sleds will be competing with speeds in excess of 160 mph. Participants can register from 10AM to 3PM to take part in the action.

Bring the family out for a day of exciting, fast-paced snowmobile excitement. Warm up in their heated concession stand or around a bonfire with s'more fixins' available. They're asking for a $5 per person donation at the gate with kids 15 and younger free.

The Faribo Sno-Go Club is celebrating 50 years as part of the snowmobiling community and grooms more than 100 miles of trails throughout Rice County. With more than 100 families involved, they volunteer their time to cut and remove trees, clear brush, install signage along the trails and fix and build bridges for area snowmobilers to enjoy.
