KDHL Radio will be broadcasting the Thursday high school baseball game between the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights and Cannon Falls Bombers.

Initially it looked like the game might be for the Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division title, but Cannon Falls clinched that with a victory over Triton on Monday.

Depending on your viewpoint, this game may be even more significant in the grand scheme of things.

Cannon Falls players will be wearing red camo caps during the game with "Helping Kids Round First" across the front. Each player will autograph their hat and they will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the organization "Helping Kids Round First."

2010 Cannon Falls High School graduate and former Bomber baseball player Dan Venn has been very active with the organization, and that's how the connection was made.

Cannon Falls baseball head coach Bucky Lindow says the organization gets baseball equipment to kids in Nicaragua.

Roy Koenig will be calling the game on KDHL Radio beginning about 4:45PM, with a scheduled 5PM start. It will also be available online via the KDHL Listen Live player, or you can download the free RadioPup app and listen on your favorite mobile device.

We will be donating some KDHL hats for the auction also.

Cannon Falls baseball has done fundraisers for various causes over the years. It's a great way to teach the players about giving back and being involved in making a difference, not only here but across the globe.

Below is a picture of the cap that is being featured.
