Owatonna football is averaging more than 500 yards of offense each game. Junior running back Jason Williamson is eating up the turf at a 190 yard per-game pace. The newly-minted No. 1-5A Huskies (6-0) face possibly their toughest test of the regular season when they play at No. 5-5A Northfield (6-0) Friday night at 7PM.

The Raiders are holding teams to about 200 yards and 14 points per game. OHS coach Jeff Williams says Northfield has a talented team.

Williamson set a school record with 343 yards in Owatonna's 46-7 win over Century in week six. The Huskies offensive line got a big stronger with a couple of players working their way back from injury. Kadyn Mulert and Terrell Conner saw action on the field together for the first time this season in Friday's win.

The rest of the Big Southeast District schedule for Friday, October 13 is Rochester Century at John Marshall, New Prague at Rochester Mayo, Mankato West at Faribault, Red Wing at Winona and Mankato East at Austin. OHS and Northfield lead the Red Division with 3-0 records.

Owatonna will wrap up the regular season Wednesday, October 18 at New Prague. Playoffs begins October 24, but OHS should have a bye that night and play their first postseason game on October 28.
