April brings some big fun and charitable events to our area.

The Young Life Cake Auction will be on Saturday, April 16, at the Owatonna High School, 333 E. School St. There will be about 100 creative cakes to bid on that also will have extras, like tickets to sporting events to go with that delicious cake. Doors will open at 10AM and it will be done around 4PM. The Young Life Cake Auction will be heard on KRFO AM1390.

There are other games included, plus a place for the kids to hang out.

Last year it raised more than $71,000 to support the Young Life programs including WyldLife and ReaLife.

Big Brother/Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota will also have Bowl For Kids Sake in Faribault and Owatonna with a two-day event.

The Fabulous Night of Knights Auction is celebrating 30 years this year. It will be on Saturday, April 16, at St. Mary's School in Owatonna.

Night of Knights Auction is a fundraiser for St. Mary's with 85 percent of the proceeds from the auction will go toward the school's general operating fund and 15 percent will go toward Home and School Association Fund, according to their website.

The doors will open at 4PM with a $10 admission. You must be 21 to attend.

The evening will begin with the silent auction and the live auction will begin at 7:30PM.
