Brad Paisley surprised the country world last week when he dropped his new single "Without a Fight" with Demi Lovato. Now, there's an accompanying lyric video to the fiery track.

The lyric video includes shots of Paisley and Lovato in the studio together, and some moments are even filmed on Paisley's phone. Always the funnyman, clips of the two artists include plenty of laughs. Images of Paisley with his guitar also surface for what looks to be him posing for a photo shoot for his forthcoming album, due out this fall.

In an interview with Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex, Paisley admits that he knew "Without a Fight" needed a female perspective, and once he met Lovato, she became the obvious answer.

“For me I wanted ('Without a Fight') to have that feeling of angst in a relationship,” Paisley tells Alex. “Everybody goes through a period where you’re fighting a lot, I think. Sometimes that can be a good thing for your relationship. That conflict can lead to making up.”

Paisley met Lovato at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in April and says their performance of “Stone Cold” convinced him to reach out to her.

“I think she can hit notes that we can’t hear,” he jokes. “It’s hard to have character when you can sing that high. But she does.”

In addition to Lovato, Paisley said his album will include collaborations from Mick Jagger, John Fogerty and Timbaland. The country star is booked to headline Country Jam 2016 next month.
