Blooming Prairie Reaches State Semis with Shutout Victory

It's on to US Bank Stadium for Blooming Prairie's football team after a 42-0 win over United South Central in Saturday's state tournament quarterfinals at New Ulm High School. Warmer conditions will greet players, fans and broadcasters, who were also forced to call the game from the bleachers in brutal winter conditions.

BP (12-0) will face BOLD (12-0) Saturday morning at 9 am on Kat Kountry 105 FM and the Kat Kountry app with the winner advancing to the Prep Bowl finals on November 24.

Gabe Hagen scored on an 80-yard pass play from Kaden Thomas, on a short touchdown run and on a long fumble return. Matthew Pryor added a pair of rushing touchdowns in Blooming Prairie's third shutout of the season.

Mahnomen/Waubun (11-0) will play Springfield (8-4) in the other semifinal, immediately following the BP vs BOLD game.
