The Steele County Blades played at home for the first time since November 28, winning twice at the Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna. Friday was Stick it to Cancer Night.

The Blades beat Forest Lake for the first time this season on Friday 4-2 after five straight losses to the Lakers. Steele County dominated play from the start and outshot Forest Lake 51-25 on the night but only led 1-0 entering the third period. Jesse Aubrecht (Farmington, Minn.) scored midway through the second period. The Blades tallied a pair of goals early in the opening minute of the third from Chase Lewis (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and Clayton Huss (Pleasant Hills, Iowa).

In Saturday's rematch with Forest Lake, Steele County scored early in the second period on a shot by Wilson Anderle (Hanover, Minn.). The Lakers scored the next three times on their way to a 4-2 victory. Forest Lake had two power plays goals and a short-handed marker.
