Now I'm going to start this off by saying take this with a grain or two of salt because this is coming from the angle of new businesses get announced and then things happen. Financing falls through, market falls out, a lot can happen between announcing and opening a brewery or taproom. With that in mind, I stumbled upon a website titled BeerAdvocate, a great source of information for all things beer, and a thread about all 2019 possible openings in Minnesota. There could be up to 7 new breweries/taprooms here in SE Minnesota by the end of 2019!

Albert Lea is slated to get it's first brewery/taproom in 2019 with Bold I'Land Brewing Company.

Rochester is on tap, pun intended, to get a possible 3 new breweries/taprooms. They are Accidental Brewing Company, Prime Stein, and Thesis Beer Project.

Last but not least Owatonna might have 2 breweries/taprooms open up in the next 12 months, but one of those might not happen until 2020. The closer to fruition brewery in Owatonna for 2019 is listed as Mineral Springs Brewing with a brewpub. The longer shot for opening a taproom or brewery in Owatonna is listed on BeerAdvocate as Foremost Brewing Cooperative.

2019 is shaping up to be a bountiful year for those of us who appreciate a hearty brew. Cheers to 2019!
