Fun fact: A Faribault native once set a flight endurance record, spending 17 ½ days in the air. Dale “Red” Jackson, sometimes called “Faribault’s Lindy,” a reference to Charles Lindbergh, spent 17 ½ days circling the air above St. Louis with Forrest O’Brine in 1929, setting a flight endurance record at that time. You can learn more about Jackson at the Rice County Historical Society.
