Winnie the Pooh called Wednesday, "Windsday." And it will be very windy across southern Minnesota today. A wind advisory is in effect until 7PM. The Weather Eye Weather Center says the strongest winds will be from 9AM to 6PM. We could have sustained winds of 35 mph, with gusts to 50 mph.

These conditions could result in difficult travel for high-profile vehicles, loose objects could blow around and minor tree or structural damage is possible.

The rest of the week looks cloudy, with chances of rain and rain mixed with snow. Temperatures will be near normal with highs in the low 40s and lows in the 20s. Sunday looks to be the sunniest day out of the weekend, with a high of 41, which is two degrees above average for this time of year. March and April tend to be our windiest months.

So be careful and hang on to your hat or something sturdy today.
